How to grow on YT

Hey,
I was thinking about starting a YT channel.
I had a few before in the gaming niche but wasn't planning on growing back then and I had around 400 subs after 2 years.
Now I want to start a channel and try to get it big.
I have 25K followers on instagram so I would advertise my channel on there, but what I was wondering is how to grow on youtube?
I don't like buying fake views/likes etc
What I myself was thinking of is just commenting on alot of big youtube pages ( not spam comments like check my channel but actually nice comments)
Would this work and are there any other good methods that I can try?

Gaming is incredibly competitive on YouTube. If you aren't interested in purchasing views, then your main leverage is going to be from your 25k Instagram followers. Utilize that fan base to get views. If you can get views, and they stick around and watch your videos, you'll start getting ranked in search and show up in Suggested Videos. Thats basically it.
 
I too have many instagram followerst but I am not sure what the best way would be to move the followers from Instagram to Youtube... Any ideas?

My old account was in the gaming niche.
With this new account I might make I was thinking about posting compilations of certain soccer players and just use an insane clickbait
 
Keep uploading the quality videos about your niche to get the good subscription and views.
Keep sharing your video channel over the social accounts to get more views.
Optimize your channel such as Description, Title, and Tag!
Choose the video keywords to get the good search results of your videos. Good luck!

You might as well not answered. That is as generic of an answer as it gets. That is what everyone suggests. In 2017 that is NOT enough. I wish i knew the answer but I don't otherwise my gaming channel in which I put a lot of work in would be big by now. The gaming channel saturation is REAL. Fixing your tags and having a good mic is just not going to cut it. BTW I mean no disrespect. YT is a different beast in 2017.
 
Want to grow on YouTube so make traffic source ... Pinterest ... Tumblr ... Google plus ... Do little hard work and earn long time ...

Comment idea is Good but channel owner would never allow u to do this
