Alternately, you may also consider posting your page on competing pages/groups to gather traffic. You can also buy facebook accounts with friends and invite them to the page. There is advertising in reddit both through RedditAds and by using accounts to post in subreddits that are relative to your niche.

I would avoid fake followers like a plague, unless it's a throwaway FB page.

He advertised for page likes on FB to English-speaking audience outside of the expensive markets (US, CA, AU, UK) in countries like India, Pakistan, etc. Once he got a 1000-or-so cheap likes, he started doing promo exchanges with non-competing pages that cater to his desired audience. Along the lines of "If you liked my page, you will surely like [partner page]". He needed only a few months to get to 50k likes, using this method.

Really is it that much effective?
That's what Neil says. I haven't tried it myself, yet, but the approach strikes me as workable.

fb like jacking works but you have to spam in fb groups then you can get lots of likes but you must have massplanner to do the stuff.

make that fan page into a follow page. When its a follow page, everyone sees your post. Instead of like jack, follow jack.
