Would this work? Something like a steam card for 20 bucks on gleam.io tell people to follow me and my other page, and shout me out and they'll be entered? (all can be linked through gleam.io) And then should i advertise my giveaway on big pages? thanks and sorry for all the questions.

I've done A LOT of giveaways to promote my account(s). The tricky thing with software like gleam.io is even though they have some filters for "fake" entries, you'll find a lot of people are fake. Though some won't even claim the prize once you reach out to them that they've won. On top of that most people are skeptical of giveaways now as they've been abused so much so they aren't as successful as they once were. On top of that Instagram has strict rules on what you can require of entrants for giveaways (though not necessarily strictly enforced). Feel free to reach out if you want more thoughts.

It will work but like the person above stated it won't work well. It has become very saturated and no one really believes giveaways anymore. Goodluck though!

thanks for the input! i guess i wont do it lol.

In tje past I have growth a few accounts on Instagram and Facebook doing that and they grew a lot, now I don't know, but as others say, maybe it is over saturated.
Anyway, if you are thinking to grow them to later sell products to those followers, keep in mind thst people came from a giveaway, they are not people looking to buy (usually), at least those accounts were not really succesfull marketing products compared to others I grew with other methods.

thanks for the advice, I probably wont use this. most of my followers are loyal

I've seen it work well in personal accounts and in cases where you offer something related to your niche, for example a pet's account giving away a pet portrait, but no one would believe a meme account would give them a free iphone x, and if it's something unrelated to your fans they wont care about it.

I've personally used competitions on Twitter to increase the follower count and they've stuck around afterwards. It's all about picking the right prizes and making sure your content relates to it.

You can find cheap products on your niche on Aliexpress and use them as a price for giveaway winners. Ask to like, follow you and tag a friend to enter. Then pick one winner. Say that you will pick random but pick the one with the most followers. Then send him the product. You gain followers, spend only a few $ and have a chance that the winner will post the product when receives it and tags you. (That's why I suggest to pick a winner with the most followers).
This strategy works for me.

It works.
Send some products to influencers and let them host the competition. To enter their followers have to follow your profile.

Personally, I'm using the software of Upviral to setting up giveaways & contest. You should give it a try, it makes things much easier.

I was thinking of using a competition to get more subscribers to my newsletter by using that as one of the criteria to enter. Has anyone done that before?
