How to grow a fan page?

I feel bad asking such a basic question, but couldnt really find any info on the subject...
i never really used facebook irl, so i dont really understand how these fan pages are supposed to work (in a non-marketing sense).

so i have a blog, and made a 'website' fan page for it. i have got it to the point where new posts are pushed to the wall, but thats about it. i dont really understand how to get people to follow/like/subscribe or whatever...

i use twitter alot, and that system makes sense to me. im really lost with this facebook stuff though, even just a bitchslap in the right direction would help

Well,you can buy likes from people or buy a fan page initially!

Once you have a bit traffic of fb for yourself you can build more fan pages easily by sharing them on you original page and trading a share for share on other pages.
