I'm new to this LinkedIn platform, and I still don't understand it too much, I wonder if the algorithm on this platform is similar to Facebook and what type of photo or content will help me go viral on LinkedIn?

On LinkedIn authentic content that provides value tends to perform best. Sharing industry insights offering helpful advice or sparking meaningful discussions is a good starting point.

For photos use high-quality professional headshots or images relevant to your industry.

Statistics don't move people to action.

Stories do.

I see founders post impressive numbers all day:
• "We grew 500% MoM"
• "Generated $2M in 30 days"
• "Reached 100k followers"

But here's what actually gets engagement & books calls...

The story of how you failed 3 times before finding product-market fit.

The lessons you learned from losing your biggest client.

The mistake that almost bankrupted your company.

Because when you share real experiences...

• People relate to your journey
• They see themselves in your story
• They trust you more than any metric

That's why my highest-performing posts aren't about results.

They're about the messy middle. The struggles. The comebacks.

Numbers tell what happened.
Stories show why it matters.

And that's what makes people remember you.

To increase the chances of your LinkedIn posts going viral,
focus on creating high-quality, engaging content that
resonates with your target audience.

Increase your connections first and try to be active at other people's posts. Try to leave comments, contact with them and share new posts every day

Posting original content and provide real value will make you viral. On the other hand post daily, comment to others post must need.

Cross-interaction is essential on LinkedIn to help you grow your page.
Therefore, in addition to posting to build your channel, be diligent in interacting with other people's posts. If you are familiar with Facebook, guide users to LinkedIn in a clever way.
Good luck on LinkedIn!

LinkedIn virality isn’t like other social media, posts that feel real and start conversations usually get much more reach. And it also depends on your profile authority and followers.

Linkedin feed on professionalism mixed with creativity. Your bio should speak volume about what you do, be creative posting about content by starting with a great hook that will make people want to read and stay glued till the very end

I have seen more reach when using a clean headshot or workplace image instead of generic stock photos. Bro authentic visuals tend to get higher engagement.

i see linkedin is not like facebook in terms of interaction algorithm, specifically:
- a content with good interaction on facebook will decrease interaction quickly over time, but linkedin seems to have a much slower process. It seems that facebook prioritizes freshness, while linkedin prioritizes content quality

Posts that spark debate or offer real value get the most reach while overly polished or generic posts usually get ignored and genuine engagement beats flashy visuals

The linkedin algorithm is quite different from fb. It prioritizes professional value and meaningful conversation over pure engagement.

To get noticed, share practical insights, offer genuine advice, or post thought-provoking questions related to your field. Personal stories that have a professional lesson often do well because people connect with authenticity.

Honestly, these days, the algo is rewarding personal stories. I would suggest going that route

From my experience, LinkedIn works differently than Facebook. It’s not really about flashy photos – it’s more about value and authenticity. Posts with personal experience, work insights, real cases, mistakes, and lessons usually perform best. Text matters more than visuals, but if you use an image, make it real and human, not stock. Keep the writing simple, use short paragraphs, and make sure the first line hooks people. Ending with a question and replying to comments in the first hour really helps with reach. Consistency plus real value is what makes content go viral on LinkedIn.

To create a viral effect on LinkedIn, you need to combine valuable content, visual presentation (image carousels, original videos), and high engagement. Posts should tell a story, address professional problems, use compelling headlines (hooks), and be posted regularly to build credibility.
