Hey everybody, I am launching my first e-com store(Shopify) in two weeks and I plan to build 2 more within the next 10 months. I am trying to get every part right and I just started to learn about SEO. I have read MOZ's guide and a couple nice thread from this very forum. I still have a couple of questions and it would be awesome if anyone could give me the answers I am looking for.
First off I would like to say that I understand on page SEO, it is pretty straightforward; KW placement, load speed, meta description, image description, etc, etc. I also found the ''How To Perform An SEO Audit Like a Pro - A Step by Step Guide'' thread on this forum, so as far as on-page SEO and auditing goes, I think I am in business.
Now for the things I am not too sure of :
Keyword Research: I have used kwfinder.com(free version) and I came up with around 30 KW with a competition score of 21 to 49(most being from 25 to 33). All of these KW have a good monthly search volume(3k up to 10k), some have 50-60k but they are too broad and competitive to be worth the hassle IMO. I would like to dig deeper and find more KW including long-tailed KW.
1-So what would be a good tool for me? I don't plan on becoming an SEO professional, all I want is to be able to do an in-depth KW search and have data on my site and my competitor's site. Therefore I would like something with a low price tag or free if possible. You guys let me know how much I need to spend to get something decent. Or is it just better to find someone who's good at it? How much should I expect to pay for quality in depth KW search?
Now for the second part of my question; I have read a ton of thread and article about black hat and white hat techniques. But I am still unsure if I should buy links for my site(would be high-quality links from this forum). I would like to keep it for years and eventually sell it. Longevity is important to me, it could bring long term sales and increase the resell value of my store.
2- So should I buy links? If so how should I go about it to minimize the risks?
Thank you for reading my questions, if you could give me your input I would be very glad, you can also suggest threads, blogs, and books on the subject.
