Hey!

There is currently a wordpress blog out there (hosted wordpress.com) which is harassing one of our online marketing products. Does anyone have experience how to get such wordpress hosted blogs down? They have hosted images and screenshots of our webpage and the sites message is clearly "be aware of product xyz".

How many complaints does it take to bring a site down or are complaints reviewed manually? Is wordpress taking a wordpress blog down if the specific site.wordpress.com URL is heavily attacked over a certain amount of time via DDOS?

Anyone here that could help with a complaint bot or something similar? My partners are paying nice amounts if we could get it down.

Thanks

File a standard cease and desist order and or a DMCA complaint.

Already did this twice, sent from an email related to the main sites domain but havent got any replies. How many complaints are usually needed that they review the site?

First, go here and completed a DMCA: http://automattic.com/dmca/
Then go to ServerBeach, there hosting company and do the same: http://www.serverbeach.com/

If that doesn't work, then pay someone to a DDoS attack to deplete their server resources - hence taking their hosting account offline and essential having them pay more for hosting to get it back online.

In my experience Wordpress goes out of their way to protect free speech. Unless the guy is a dick, they will protect him.
