How to get virtual assistant job?

I apologize if I have posted in the wrong section.

I am a student looking for a job to cover my expenses. A friend of mine suggested that I can earn some money by working as a virtual assistant. I would appreciate any advice on how to find such work.

I am not a master in anything specific, but I can manage - WordPress, cPanel, a bit of internet marketing, basic level Python, and data entry. I am ready to learn anything as needed.

If you can do data entry you better of approaching local recruitment agencies in your local area. I had a data entry job as a student, and there is always private and public sector demand for them. Your internet skills are nothing that is worth anything. They are just the very basics. They don't cover difficult situations, or troubleshooting. It's not like you introduced yourself as a qualified internet networking expert for example. I'm ready to learn anything as needed every day, just like everyone on this forum, so that's not a stand-out qualification.

If you are serious

Approach recruitment agencies, online and offline (reputable ones only that don't require deposits!)
Business in your local area via linked in
Business in your local area via Yellow pages/phone book

This way you'll be able to network too, into local areas, to help you once you qualify as a post-student. It's easier to find a local business to help, that get a worthwhile job as a entry level internet VA.

Your first option is to sign up on any freelancing platform like Fiverr.

Then seek for knowledge by learning how money can be made on Fiverr by getting good paid courses or learn for free if you like.

Your second option is to get a website, setup your portfolio and start reaching out to clients.

I am also find va job.

You can join local agencies to gain experience. They're far easier to enter than going for a direct client approach in the early stages of your career.

I had my first virtual assistant job on Fiver, then next on Upwork.. for questions like this, I’d like to say that build your knowledge first.. there are a lot of FREE courses out there.. check that out! goodluck!
