How to get usernames that are not used but ig doesnt allow

so im trying to get a username which isnt claimed on ig as theres no profile for it but when i try to register it, they say its already taken.

i take it this maybe because the person who did claim it deleted there account or got banned, so is there a way for me to get this username.
