How to get traffic ?

We are running a website ideamed, also we are planning to increase more traffic to our website also if the visitors are doctors and hospital management people it will be good.. what should i do to get more visitors ? Please help me.

well, you can buy ptc traffic, but this traffic very rarely converts. you could do seo, build backlinks, and this would take time. you could go the email marketing way, but it would cost money to get started, so guess you shoudl decide among these options

Social networks (facebook/twitter/etc.) Easy to make good campaigns for no money at all
PTC - rarely converts...
SEO - whatever you chose you should try to make at least some backlinks and drive your site to page 1 for some kws
video marketing - youtube/vimeo/etc - again easy to be done and almost no money needed
advertising in other doctor/health/etc forums - would be expensive and wont work that much
