How to get Top Position in a Huge $$ Keyword?

I started a site some months ago, in a, almost, saturated niche


But well, I'm doing O.K! My 4 months website is already in the Big-G page 2, for a real huge keyword, with more than 1.8 million searchs every month!!

But...damn!!

SECOND PAGE!

The money stays in the first 2 or 3 results...not on the second page

I'm doing everything I know in SEO: I'm doing link xchange with other sites (50% related to my niche, 50% not), doing a little spam in some old pages with high PR, I'm linking my own pages in other pages of my site, already put good meta tags and these things, URL optimized and all these random shit everyone say to do =P

But...DAMN! I still in second page!! lol >.<

But the most strange is...I have more backlinks than every other site! The other sites have about 150 backlinks. I have more than 350

The unique thing is the other sites are really older than mine (have 2 or 3 with more than 5 years...)

What I need do to go to the top positions, and get in the money?

It sounds like you need some age on your domain and on your links. Your going to need to do a lot of link building to compensate.

I want to know how you got to the 2nd page so fast

Make such that you are not doing too much. Meaning, be such that big G is not penalizing you for anything you are doing, therefore holdong you back from page 1.

Correct me if I'm wrong guys, but I bought a WSO that basically tells you to buy a aged domain with PR and redirect it to site to give yourself trust factor or somethign

Age is what you need now... just keep link building - dont risk by doing spammy stuff at this point, just contact websites which are in your niche, link to all the pages on your site and wait.

What can help is registering your domain for as long as you can, I really think that Google looks into this data, would a spammer register a domain for 5 years? No it is just a waste of money because it will get banned in a couple of months.

Just keep building links but keep it as white as white, register for as long as you can and wait, SEO is a long process.

registering the domain for as long as possible definitely helps. i noticed a drastic change in rank after registering a domain for 5 yrs.

if you site is a legit white hat site, looks good, professional and presentable, i don't care how much you spam it, you will not get penalized.

i registered a domain 3 months ago for a project i am still working on. in the mean time, i put a coming soon page up with html and text. of course i did the meta tags as well. i have been spamming the hell out of it for the last 3 months. i am ranking top 10 for over 300 of my keyword variations. no penalty yet i have no substantial contents.

if you are working a serious project, registering the domain for a long time gives you more credibility.

Luizeba, wait and add more content and backlinks. If competition is high, you need to get Google's trust, and that doesn't happen quickly.

Sageman, can you, please, tell how you spammed your site: blogs, forums, guest books?

I have gotten to the top of google for my keywords pretty much by just creating back links. You know... Posting to blogs, forums, a few web 2.0 properties, and maybe a small BH trick or two...

he is not going to spill the exact beans. Or may be there are too many beans in here. And it is only me who is confused to collect the right ones for me.

Well, I'll try sageman/shm03 tip and will register it for the next 5 yr...

And will try the other shm03 tip...will get in only White link building, with sites only of the same niche for big-g give me more credibility and these things...
