Really hope someone can help me find out this answer, tried a lot but can't seem to do it cos I don't even know what its called to google for help.

How do you get pictures to have this effect on them, i cant post links but just paste this behind gyazo dot com

I remember there's a photographer with a similar style to the picture but I don't recall his name. A lot of people tried to replicate his style. Anyways, first of all, the original photo is high quality. You'll have to play with higher contrast and brightness levels and it looks like high-pass might be key here as well. Sorry but that's all I got.

I'm sure you could get something close to it with several filters in photoshop, but it's not a one click thing, I can assure you.

Cut the image part you want on the different layer then start experimenting with the Filters.

It is called hdr in photography, you can find a tutorial on how to do it throu photoshop easily by googling it.

Yeah, it's HDR (high dynamic range). There are some filters/adjustments you can do in Photoshop to get that effect. One great piece of software that helps is called Photo Matix by HDRSoft... or just google HDR photoshop tutorials.

BTW, the photographer is David Hill, and his photos are AMAZING!!

Its totally work of filters and effects, try some plugins too like NIK and TOPAZ.
