It is not the first time I came across a verified account on Instagram, where I had doubts this people are actually “celebrities” or famous in general.
Before I start explaining and showing I want to let you know: This is not a step by step tutorial or anything like this. There are no guaranteed results. Why? Because there are actual humans reviewing your account and decide whether you deserve the blue tick or not.
Also: If the owner of the account is on BHW, please PM me and I will remove the pics.
A short throwback
It was a few months ago, where I came across such an account for the first time. Everyone who is into Social Media Marketing, automatic growth, buying likes, followers, or any other kind of service will immediately spot there is something going on. You don’t need to be an expert to see someone is faking something.
So I came across this one account a while ago. Unfortunately, I didn’t take a screenshot and after a few hours I simply didn’t find/remember his username anymore, but this guy was definitely not famous, probably used Jarvee or any other software/service and got the popular blue tick. The blue tick people are spending thousands of dollars for.
What did this guy do?
- Claimed he is a singer and uploaded songs on Soundcloud, Spotify etc., on which he then bought followers/plays/etc.
- Claimed he is an author (he published a kindle Ebook on Amazon – really not that hard to do)
- Claimed he is an entrepreneur
- He bought 3-4 press releases/articles on some medium niche newspapers/magazines
- Had around 10-20 professional looking pictures of himself uploaded
- Obviously used any growth service/software (he followed 4k people and had 9k followers)
- Had a website (firstname+lastname.com) link on his profile bio
I also checked his website. The website looked quite well. He had an Instagram feed and several other cool Wordpress plugins. He also wrote something like “more than 1 million plays in more than 100 countries”, which is actually pretty easy to achieve when buying plays etc.
This guy was from Germany, I am from Germany myself and I never ever heard of him.
Today I found another account exactly similar to this one I described above. This time I took screenshots and while digging I found even more accounts. You will be able to see it by yourself.
Notice how he only has 11posts, probably went out 3-4 times to make good looking pics. Not even professional. His bio is exactly as I described above:
- Claims he is Singer/Songwriter/Actor etc. (wtf he is a real talent)
- He is also a photographer and influencer
- Oh wow, he is an entrepreneur as well and he also links to his IG business account. Go ahead and check his business account by yourself. No posts, nothing.
He follows 7k people. Seriously? He is definitely using a growth service or bot.

It's a typical personal brand website. Some pictures, a story, links to his social media accounts, but really nothing special.

On his website, they write something about "Unit-E Media Group". Looks like they signed him as a singer. But go ahead and google "Unit-E Media Group" you won't really find any information. If this company really exists, then the guy above did a better job in branding than this music label.

There are mostly social networks with his profile. Example:

and some other accounts - go ahead and Google him yourself.
Besides this, you don't really find any article, press release, or something. Also when you search him on YouTube you don't really find many videos. Only his own with a few hundred views.
Now you guys can tell me whatever you want, but this guy is not famous. He also has no digital marketing agency (where?!), he is not an actor and he is probably not even a real singer.

Are these guys in an engagement group? Or are they managed by the same growth service?

Now I don't want to talk about how this people are using engagement groups etc., because this thread is about getting the blue tick.
What are the take-aways? Long story short:
You have to fake your whole existence basically. The more claims you make (author, entrepreneur, singer, actor, producer etc.) the better.
My guess is the easiest way to get the blue tick by actually saying you are a singer. Why? Because it is the easiest to fake. Get someone to record a few songs, make a Spotify, Soundcloud, YT account etc. and buy plays, subscriber, follower etc. for social proof.
Basically you can be a "popular singer" with millions of plays, subscriber and so on without even being a singer. Good luck for the verification team at IG to figure out whether you are REALLY a singer or not. You just need to fake it well.
I hope you can recognize the pattern by yourself.
