How to get SSL certificate for my website for free ?

Yeah, cloudfare is the place where you can get it for free.

Do free SSL's generally have a lower quality?

:/ hope I didnt blow $80 for something I could get for free lol

You can use Let's Encrypt.I have used all of my websites.

But does it worth go $10 per month thats what some hosting company offers.
I think it's better to flat rate it then and save money. Also I think I read something about google making them a requirement otherwise they mark your site as unsafe.

the level of encryption on free vs paid is generally the same. Both offer secure connection so if you have a nothing site it probably wasn’t worth the $80

paid ssls can give some advantages...but $80 worth, not really. If you need extended validation for your site then a paid ssl if your only option. EV is supposed to help your customer know its really you...but it doesn’t look any different than a regular ssl.

if you need an ssl to cover all subdomains then paid might be good. Generally, it isnt worth it though

If you're running an online business certain merchant providers require you to have a paid and enhanced security SSL for processing payments.
For everyday blogs and sites, free is fine.

If you're running a business or ecom site - paid version is good (EV)
free one gives a green (now gone in chrome) lock in address bar and nothing but EV SSL gives the company names and verifies the info as well that's why many payment processors needs a EV SSL secured site.

Agreed to that and for free I think Cloudflare is best bet.

Try LetsEncript, Im use this for my site more than 8months without any trouble - https://letsencrypt.org/

Right the EV one is great. Quite a few hoops to jump through apparently as I was looking into it.
