Hey guys, I just got done setting up a really nice and clean ecommerce site, selling very cheap iPhone 5 chargers & iPhone 4 chargers & really nice cases. Now after all the time i put into creating this shop, now I'm stuck trying to get sales. Like I literally don't know how to start. I have about a $200 investment, but i got to be really careful with that and it has to make my money back in 10 days because that is all I have and I have to pay $200 to a judge, because of driving tickets.

Any help would be appreciate. If you want to get sales under as my affiliate, I do have an affiliate program set up :)

You need to advertise your website on YouTube or you can try something like Adsense

You can also rank your website in Google for some keywords.

People wont come if they cant find you.

Google will be close to impossible at this time

Bing ads / adwords should get you some sales. However if you want to get the real deal ebay is the way to go , and link back to your site in the description listing

Well, first you should have chosen a better product.

Never EVER sell electronics online. It is the worse niche to get in especially dropshipping.

Lowest margins and tons of competition. Why people always do electronics I have no freakin clue.

What I would do if I were you would start over. You are going to waste a lot of money and time. Think of it as a lesson learned. STart over and DON"T DO ELECTRONICS ;)

I believe that's against ToS now? Worth looking into/avoiding that on any accounts with high feedback

Seems it depends how you go about it:

Set up a facebook page for your webshop and host a give-away.

You have a $200 investment which you'll need to pay the judge for a ticket?

I'm sorry, but I don't think that $200 is enough to create campaigns and get a positive ROI at the end to make it back. You might be lucky, but I definitely wouldn't count on that... especially if you don't have any previous data to know how well your site converts.

Keep the $200 in your pocket for the judge and do some other types of marketing instead. For example, you could establish your social media profiles, share some good content etc.

However, that's just my opinion. So far, $200 wasn't enough for me to make successful paid campaigns..

    warm regards,

I can't believe no one even took my advice and all the people chiming in here have no freaking idea what they are talking about.

Whatever, don't listen to me but it bugs me to see how much bad information is in this thread.

First, selling electronics is the worse product you can online... Period. Unless it is a product you created you are going to have a horrible horrible time. I can almost guarantee that you won't make any money.

Second, you have $200 to invest. LOL. that isn't enough to even get a good logo. With thin margins, you might be able to buy 40 hits to your site. Save the $200 and buy some candies with it.

Third, these people talking about creating social presence and all that BS. Come on, really? Why would anyone want to share your content about iphone cases. You have a site selling other people's shit. You have nothing original and you probably have a shitty looking site anyways. No one in their right mind is going to share your content and why would they want to?

OP, i do not mean to sound negative. But listen to someone who does this for a living and not these people just regurgitating other people's garbage.

Start over. Choose something else. Get a job to make money to reinvest into something $200 isn't going to get you far.

    Good luck

^I was going to agree with you completely until you started throwing in random insults.

OP, like Dan said, the electronics niche is basically impossible to make an ROI in. Doesn't matter how much time/money you have invested, I wouldn't pursue it. Try to "convert" your ecommerce site into a more profitable niche. I am starting an ecommerce site too and traffic is the hardest thing to find because what content should be placed on an ecommerce site?

However, I think that even with $200 you can make a decent site with a nice steady income.

Good luck but please take Dan/my advice so you don't have any regrets,
    xCynical

I would recommend creating some YouTube videos like how too for your site. And market those

I have not posted anything yet, but now I have to.

My friend is a phone case-selling company owner. So, basically the same thing. If he would have asked help on this forum for his idea, you would be as direspectful as you are right now, same pessimistic. Because there are tons of other resellers of different phone cases already, right?

But this fact did not stop him. Should NOT stop anyone from making their ideas to become an income source. Make existing things better - that is the key. He makes over 20k EUR per month just by selling phone cases.

And 200$ is enough to start a Facebook campaign, for example. But first you have to have some good content and a small amount of fans there (I'd say 300-500 fans and then you would use the money for FB ads). But learn about Social Media Advertising and stuff like that much more than you read here. It helps you decide what to do.
