Hello guys,

I have channel focused on kids (toys) powered by my friends big channel with the same niche. He set endscreen and cards to my channel and from that I have about 40-70K/48h. He also shares my new videos with his 600K subs through community which can boost my video to 1000-1500 views per hour but when he shares another video my video is slowly dying. Can you give me some advices what to do to get better ranked videos, get more organic traffic? I'm checking this forum daily and reading a lot of tutorials including buying views, likes etc but I can manage all of this through that community tab. Do you have any methods which works in this algorithm?

I just have traffic to my videos, lot of subscribers, but withouth that endscreen. cards and community its nearly dead. Can you help me how to use this traffic to get organic traffic?

PS: Does unlisted method still work?

Thanks for every answer and help.

Try to make « connections » to his channel through your tags, desc, channel tags. And try to do similar content to be in the suggested videos of people watching his channel

And how is the retention coming from the redirection of your friend channel ? But don't worry, even boosted, channel need some time to get suggested.

I don't exactly know what do you mean by retention so I send you some info. My average view duration is 2 mintues (i'm doing 10-13 min videos) and 1,5 millions watch time on 720k views. I've recently read "How to rank in 2018" and that article says that the key of being suggested is getting views from SUBSCRIBERS but my views are 99,2% from my friends channel and only 6,4% of my total views are from suggestion. I don't understand that. We are making quite unique kids content and we have similar videos (quality and concept), similar tags, catchy thumbnails and titles as well. The main problem is that I can't be in touch with viewers because its mainly kids so I can't add some text or poll which would force viewers to comment or something. I'm using VidIQ which is going really well with rapidtags.io which im using to find tags from title. I really dont know what do to to get atleast some traffic. I have 12k subscribers but when I upload video it has only about 30 views during 1 hour.

Thanks for any help and your interest.

Audience retention is view duration and pourcentage viewed ! 2 minutes on 12-13min video is not that great.( For exemple, on kids niche i have average 2min view duration on 5 minutes video and 5 min view duration on 10min video. Work on that and keep track of the growth of the % of suggested. Last thing, and don't know your upload schedule but try to post almost everyday if you can. (no more than one video per day)

Be patient and keep us update.

the only difference i can think of between kids niche and other niches, that when most of the kids that are watching this, are underage and usually do not skip the video, they tend to watch from start to end, and continue to the next recommended video, that mean you need to out rank videos with ~99% retention rate, that's why it's a very hard niche to start with...

I would never start with this niche if I don’t have support from my friends channel. I had a few big accounts focusing on compilations but I didn’t have to rank them good because compilations were trending and I was getting organic traffic easily. This niche is harder to get views and traffic so I would like to get some tips and tricks how to slowly get more and more views. Do you know any method?

i saw that many successful channels on that niche are using live stream method where they every day stream an episode or a chosen "offline" video, as soon as i will finish my research, i will outline that method with details here.

Yea I saw that aswell. We thought that the main reason of their big numbers on livestream is long time of streaming. They play video in loop for a month or longer. I’m livestreaming 10 days now but it is still nothing special so there should be anything else in this method. Can’t wait to see your research.
