How to get profit from reddit?

I've been using seo for a while, but now it is quite difficult without certain services and time.
For now I think the best way is to use reddit. But how?
Just posting links in subreddit is not best idea: bans, bans and bans.
What would suggest?
Create my own subreddits for certain niches?

You can create your own subreddits,sending it some subscribers and make some fake comments to the submissions.

Also you can submit your link in niche related subreddits which are pretty abandoned or the subreddits whose mods are inactive.

Bans happens sometimes,no link will be 100% safe but you can decrease the risks not spamming and submitting the link using solid accounts.

By promoting gigs/skills through the platform. There are a lot of communities and you may find one or 2 that may fit your expertise.

The paid route will maximize eyeballs but I would in turn build my own subreddit , Reddit is a tricky beast to tame but from past experience I would spend the minimal investment on paid.

1. Use high karma aged accounts to create posts
2. Create cool content (check what people on your niche on reddit likes)
3. Make posts on big relevant subreddits
4. Add upvotes from aged karma accounts and move post to front page of subreddit
5. Optional: add comments

That is the best way to get traffic and good links from Reddit nowadays
