I know what I need to do to rank on Google (links) and Yahoo (keyword rich content), but I don't get Bing yet. For most of my keywords and websites my Bing rankings are close to my Google rankings, but other times they are completely behind.

I have to admit that I have never even bothered to read the Bing webmaster tools help (if that exists), but now I want to start learning how it works.

Is there any good source of information about Bing? Any ebook, course, blog or something else that's worth reading?

You think all you need to rank on Google is links? You haven't gone into very much detail here.

Google is the hardest engine to get ranked in. You have to build carefully and skillfully or face any number of anti-spam penalties. Your statement that all it needs is "links" is entirely false.

Your description of Google fits Bing a lot better. Sites I've made and blasted with spam links always do better in Bing than in Google. I can count sites in the double figures which Google will not even touch that are #1 in Bing. If Google ranked my sites like Bing than I'd be a rich man.

So, in summary - all you need to rank in bing is links, as many as you can get. Use exact anchor text.

Well the site I'm seoing ATM is 1st on 209.85.225.103, 2nd on regular google, like 3rd and like 200 on yahoo on my keyword.

But honestly I dont care, what is important is to rank on google :)

I know. This was simplified, not meant to be a thesis about Google ranking.

Thanks for your elaboration on Bing. With this in mind, I now understand why my Bing rankings are excellent and sometimes different from my Google rankings - I do have many spam links with anchor text. Thanks!
