I just wrote a blog post about this yesterday and I figured might share it on here as well.

This is something that's been working for me quite great lately, although I'm not sure how many people are familiar with it.

Basically, I managed to get the following ranks using nothing but on-page optimization with Yoast, and the Google Search Console (the 181 BLs are from two Fiverr gigs I tested which didn't do shit):

I did do my keyword research before starting the site (domain was registered at the beginning of December, and I finished the site at the end of the same month).

Here's what I did:
1. 6500 words of high quality content targeting the main 110k MS keyword.
2. 500 words of content for each of the other keywords, still keeping it optimized for the main keyword
3. Yoast optimization
4. Indexing changes using the fetch tool in the Google Search Console.

That's it. You literally see dramatic changes like these happen:

LoAiBG2

The image above is from the 27.1k MS keyword, which I optimized for on January 3rd, and had it appear on #12 within hours.

Hope that helps someone. More posts to come :)

Impressive results, keep us updated weekly for the next month or so please.

its not like it was thanks to the google fetch console that it jumped that high.

Impressive to see you rank that high already though.

Keyword density?

Of course it wasn't. What I'm saying is that it helped see instant results after optimization, which is certainly useful. Keyword density was around 1.3%.

great for you ... i doubt it has some to do with the fetch tool.

how many time you have done that ?
I always get instant results when using the fetch tool, especially when I've found new keywords to target. Results THIS great - just this one time for now, although I've never tried anything similar before. I'm about to do replicate this with a case study for another site though.

Again, proper keyword research and high quality, well-optimized content is what gets the ranks. The fetch tool part is just how you see those ranks instantly without waiting for google to eventually crawl your site.

Is it an EMD website?
You do realize that I'm reporting rank improvements for multiple keywords right? How can this be an EMD then? It has a mutual word that all KWs have in them, but that's it.

sorry if this is a noob question, but was the 6.5k one article on your main page or was that content spread over multiple blog posts

For anyone following this, it's fair to say that ranks have been improving steadily. Found a couple new keywords since and targeted them the same way, and am now ranking for those as well. Even made a couple bucks although I don't expect much until I start getting to top 3. And yes, it's still dancing a lot, especially for the two highest MS keywords, but that's obviously expected. Do your research people :)

I remember reading that one of the latest updates from Google is that they crawl website changes much faster. Think this has something to do with it?
