How to get indexed quicker?

One of my blogs I haven't worked on for ages as in SEO and looking into getting my articles to rank quicker. I blast the article through Social networks ********/nofollow and see some success and hit page 2-3 but looking for more ways to rank these articles. They're all hand written and the site is pretty much a news site.

Your title question asks how to get indexed quicker, which is a totally different question from how to rank higher. For ranking higher, it depends how competitive the niche is. The more competitive it is, the more high quality, relevant backlinks you're going to need from authoritative sites.

There have been quite a few threads on here lately about people having quick success with social signals, but once the signals fade, so do your rankings. edyang, nailed it for long term success though. High quality authority back links. There are some great options in the BST if you are looking to outsource it.

its very difficult to rank articles that are on article directories nowadays, honestly. wouldn't recommend wasting your time doing that.
