How to get in local media

Local media and branding. Does sponsored content have seo value?

Does newswire have a better local distribution service than cheaper ones?

My cousin does T.V ads and his company ranks top of google because of branded searches.

looking to improve local seo and get on the media.

I have a event planned for a class on building a nicer than golf course yard but I cannot get the media to cover it.

I appreciate all ideas thank you.

Money is no problem but I do not want to waste money like I did with 10k dollars worth of links with no seo value here.

Are you ranking at the top for your branded searches?

If not, it seems like T.V ads would be a convenient place to start if you haven't already; you did say that your cousin ranks for his brand thanks to his T.V commercials, perhaps he could guide you through the best practices.
 
Stop doing SEO bcz its dead.
 
Has anyone else seen good seo results by increasing brand awareness by advertising. I am also thinking FB boosting posts to get social shares and links. When I boost content on FB how are the local links earned? I am confused on this.
 
If you do something really weird or stupid , you will be in the local media for sure ... :-)
You could also claim some scientific discovery and get media attention.... it might be the last time though if you do a false claim... ;-)

Ask your cousin about local TV ads maybe ? Local Radio ads ?

If you spent 10k on links with no SEO value, that just don't sound right to me. PM your website and i will help you where you are going wrong.
