How to get high ranking in search engine for my website

Hi,

I recently set up a webshop and naturally want to attract visitors, I used the fb add but its expensive and the outcome wasnt worth it.
Now I heard that you can pay to be placed highly on google, but I was wondering if there is a easy way around this or another (preferably free) way to get high up in search engine rankings?


I NEED COSTUMERS.....grrr

Well BHW is all about the same buddy! If you are in a hurry then hire an SEO expert,just sit back and relax Or...read out the forum!Build backlinks,get tools,ping spam ping spam ping spam and so on

Tried targeted twitter traffic or adwords ??

Build backlinks but make sure you build a diverse range such as articles, press releases, wiki's, blog commenting etc.

SEO isn't a quick thing especially for competitive terms. You'll need a bit of patience tbh. My recommendation would be to outsource if you're in a hurry, but obviously you'll need to invest in order to do that.

Call Google and tell them that you've set up your website.

Also, Add Matt Cutts of Facebook and send him a text message about your site as well.

There are two different opinions on this matter.

Matt Cutt's approach: build an amazing website, don't create any backlinks by yourself, don't spam, invest millions in ads so people will find your great website and will link to it.

Blackhat approach: place a backlink to your website everywhere you can.
