Just looking at http://www.matratz.com website - Jan he/she had PR2 today PR4 - whats the secret, he/she does not post on social book marking sites like digg.

Google PR was updated yesterday or a couple of days ago.
Look at the site's backlinks: it has 20k+ backlinks and some of the m are with a pretty high PR. So, you shouldn't be surprised at all.

My blog only has around 4,000 backlinks, and the domain is only 2 months. I have been putting effort into it and my blog has no ******** outbound link and it went from a PR 0 to a PR 5 from the update. Take a look. I believe not linking to anyone from your homepage can benefit, or I don't really no.
