Hey. My friend has money and he wants to live and work in the USA. He can pay for help. Do you have any suggestions?

i think its a lottery.. you have to "win" this card, maybe there are some exceptations for skilled or rich people. If you are in usa try to marry your friend.

for americans: if immigrants come with a boat and coast-guards dont catch you, is it true that the immigrant convert automatically to an american and can stay? (just curious, seen this in csi miami where some people came from cuba to usa in a boat)

He can make his own..

My ex wife was born / lived inthe USA. I moved there and got married, had children in the USA and had my own very successful business in the USA.

I STILL had to pass all the tests and apply for the i485 and a few other applications. I spent over $10,000 on immigration lawyers not including travel costs back and forth, medical exam costs etc.

$4,000 will just about cost the fee's that the Gov charge just for the application fees. that WITHOUT even talking to a lawyer.

This is really expensive. So the real price would be 10-20k, right?

find a uni to find that say ok

visa first for student at uni

then make sure that uni in city you can use being foreign to get wife

get wife before done with uni

BUT before marry wife country you come from has to OK, so no matter anything you have to be OK with home country government

or find homeless person in usa with no arrest or record

wait till homeless overdose

peel off skin on fingers and assume you homeless person

if friend has $$ then could pay to get done ^^

simplest way

pay to go to university

otherwise

1. greencard lottery
2. investment visa - need like 2 mio - and hire 20 americans

you are going to need 10-20k for attorney fees - plus another 10-20k for application fees.

goodluck

Immigrants cannot just stay and convert...
they have to go thru the process of immigration..
if you get turned down.... they deport you....
if you come back and they catch you... you go to jail..

people from cuba sometimes go under a different procedure...
they take up some kind of political asylum..
those are faster....

in terms of expenses.... my cousin just immigrated his wife..
if i was not mistaken it took a bit over $4500... including lawyer, immigration fees and all..
this was last couple of months....
she was here on a visa.....

Immigration through a spouse is actually only just over a grand plus lawyer fees which can be between $600 and $1400. Plus $250 for medical examination.

I am going through the process in about 1 month.

Why??? I never understand the people who want to live there (except the native-born Americans of course). Guys can somebody explain me why exactly you consider the USA as a good place to live and work?

High level of crime (especially interracial one), no free healthcare, high taxes (up to 35%!!!), too many prohibitions and really brutal laws (sometimes even very stupid), total obesity and lack of beautiful women and so on...

Never understood why people wanna come to the USA, and the residents of the USA trying to find a place to move too.

Tell him to raise $1,000,000 and invest in local business. With that amount he can become a resident of any country just by investing.

The grass is always greener on the other side, especially for those who never visited the target country.

Yeah, right. ;)

Since I'm not sure what part you dont believe in, here is a proof. :-)

You can always buy your way in depending on how much money you have.
Its an expensive option, but more certain than most.
If you invest x amount in underdeveloped areas you automatically qualify.

It is a large amount though, I think 500k... lol
