I work in an industry where businesses typically rent a room and run courses there once or twice a week.
However, some established companies are gaming the system by renting a room once, setting up a Google My Business (GMB) listing, and never actually operating there again. This lets them rank in that location indefinitely.
When customers visit their site, they realize there are no courses in that suburb, but they end up booking in at one of the actually real locations they offer. They're trying to dominate multiple suburbs this way.
They also mislead Google—claiming they offer online courses that "serve" the location, even though they have no real presence there.
I've tried reporting them through reviews and making edits, but either my changes get rejected, or the listings come back. Is there any way to permanently get these fake listings removed?
