How To Get Forum Traffic?

What are some ideas to get forum traffic & members? I have a site with:
Posts: 7,393
Threads: 1,692
Members: 8,339

I am now barely getting any daily registers. My forum is about Gaming, Programing, Graphics and bit of Internet Marketing.

Ideas?

Maybe some adsense, and maybe put ads up on your site for any products you might be selling if you have any. Also, might try posting relevant posts on other popular forums with your forum link in your signature. Good Luck.

Pick your best threads and drop links to them at forums that are getting more attention. Since you are directing them to the best content on your forum, you are guaranteed to get some sign ups at least. Maybe some heat from the other moderators as well, but no harm done even if they get deleted.

sorry, the above was already mentioned I guess. Also, check out fiverr and send out tweets to about 20k users for $5. I am not sure how many will sign up, but for $5, it might be worth trying.

there is some scripts out there that will allow you to Run contests on your site ,give away items that are in the niche of the forum make sure to give away atleast ten prizes this will work and if you have time then do a daily prize give away you will see alot of traffic from that point on.
