How to get followers? (tips and tricks)

Hello, I was wondering if you guys have any tips for people on how to get more followers, as in finding a good username, picture, niche, places to post etc?

I don't know if there's a link about this already (I'm new, sorry), but would like some info about this.

edit: Should I use my real first name, and 1 letter of my last, people won't know it's me, or should it be something "cool"?

Are you talking about a specific network or just generally all of them?

Try to have a keyword/phrase in your username without it being too long. Post regular content relevant to your target market/keyword. Follow people in your niche, like and share their content. Use hashtags, @mentions, etc. There are numerous software out there to automate this process (a simple search on BHW will return many), won't mention companies but when it comes to social media 2 tools stand out above the rest.

Follow/unfollow will help you at the beginning. Exchange shoutouts with accounts similar to yours will help you aswell. Using 20-30# per picture will help you to get a lot of bot followers that will help you boost your followers when you're following an account fully managed by a normal user - I mean without automation.
