You can use it for a small boost in the serps while you try and find 50 pr5 links to make up for the pr8 one when the pr is lost lol.

Said to see an actual scam here. Black hat is about manipulating the search engines not taking some poor saps money, telling him he's getting a box of chocolates and it turns out to be dog crap. Not to mention illegal. Fraud is against the law in most countries, no?

That wouldn't be a fake PR though, its legit still as the link juice gets passed on. Its possible to this to be used in a negative way e.g. after the domain is sold 301 the site to a different domain and it will lose its page rank.
