how to get even with paypal thief??

so I bought some computer ram on Craigslist. guy said he would ship ram, but never did. now it was only $27.00 shipped, so I am not out a lot but its been over a month and he keeps jerking my chain around. I did a paypal claim, which paypal ruled in my favor, but he has no money left in his paypal account and now I am SOL. so what would be your guys' next step? I just got his phone number by claiming to be another buyer, and I am now working on getting his address. I know he lives in Edmonds, Wa. but it is a 8 hr drive from my house so it is hard to pay him a visit. I know the police wont give me the time of day for a $27.00 transaction, even though I threatened him with that. im lost at what to do next.

uhmmm, i can think of some really evil things to do...

report him to the proper authorities for things like
- selling drugs
- illegal weapons
- kddy p0rn
- doesn't he look just like that american taliban guy? maybe homeland sec wants a go at him....

get the idea?

or you can run his credit bureau if you can get enough info. maybe find out where he works. if you have his address you can lookup his neighbors addresses & phone numbers. leave messages for him there too! then embarass him at work. wouldn't he be surprised if you start leaving messages for him with his boss? a lot of this info can be found for FREE so don't go purchasing anything. most is from public databases you can find at the library.

ps, if all else fails, order a boatload of delivery pizzas for him from every pizza place in town.

I am not sure how to get back at the thief but one future tip:

I have bought many things off craigslist and had them shipped while paying with paypal. To protect yourself, always use Paypal and fund it with a credit card to pay the Craigslist person. If you have money in your account either drain it or transfer it to another account so the balance in your PayPal account is $0 then pay the Craigslist person so that it takes it off your credit card to pay them. Then you have recourse and protection.

If they screw you over, then call the creditcard company and file a chargeback.

I had over 40 distance buys off Craigslist and 2 times I was screwed over for $1000+ but since I paid thru PayPal with my credit card, in both cases I got my money refunded in 2 weeks.

Another Tip: Use only MasterCard or Visa not Discover or Amex as they do not handle chargebacks easily

Doesn't look like you have a lot you can do. I do not know the paypal policy in case he puts any money on his paypal account, would it get transferred to you?

However, when you get his full name and address, you could threaten him that you are going to post a story/video online about him scamming you, revealing his full contact information and let the public respond any way they see fit.

Scare the shit load out of him, tell him some of the possible outcomes of such an action things like some random guy vandalizing his property, the story making it to the local news channel, being looked at with suspicion everywhere he goes, ...
