PBN is absolutely smashing it since the Dec update, it has been a core technique since about 2008, you will hear many say it does not work, what they mean is, they are doing it wrong and from that making the conclusion the technique doesn't work.

IP, as already mentioned above there are many options, the best I know is priority prospect, you can do what they do cheaper, but there is nothing that scales bettter.
