I have a client who wants their business to show up locally on Apple Maps due to a large amount of mobile Apple users in their niche, and I was hoping someone here could offer insight in helping to get the business listed on Apple Maps. I tried to search on here but couldn't find much of value, and search engines were not very helpful either.

Any help would really be appreciated!

I was trying to do the same earlier and if I remember correctly or it may just be a rumor, Apple pulls their data from Yelp. Is your client's business listed on Yelp?

I also read these steps work:

    1) Open the Apple Maps app
    2) Search for your business name
    3) Select the page fold in the bottom right
    4) Select Report a Problem
    5) Select Location is missing, then Next
    6) Position the pin to the correct location, then Next
    7) Enter your business details, don't forget to enter the business name!
    8) Make sure you select a category
    9) Finally, select Send

Thank you for the tips guys!

I actually read the posts on Apple Maps Marketing and tried to do most of what they said. The client's business is listed on Yelp and I have done the manual process of Reporting Incorrect Listing in Apple Maps for the location as of a week or so ago. My next step is submitting the business listing to Acxiom and Factual because I read Apple pulls data from them as well, but it sounds like Yelp is the big directory they use and we're already on there and verified.

Didn't know if there was a way to expedite the process anymore, or if it is pretty much down to the waiting game at this point...it seems crazy there would be no way to get a business listed quickly on Apple Maps but maybe that is just the way it is.

To any of you guys that put together BSTs, I would happily pay to have the process of getting local businesses listed on Apple Maps expedited. Short of using mTurk and having a handful of hipsters with iPhones complete the process macdonjo3 outlined above I am out of ideas!

Actually it works for Canadian businesses too. Clients Canadian business is listed in Apple maps where it displays the business yelp profile/info...
