First of all does this even work/help? And if so i have a channel that needs back links for girl products etc. Can anyone tell me the benefits?

Of course it works. Your YT channel/ videos have their own URL. There for it is no
different than any other web page. Promote your page with backlinks,social book marking. web 2.0 properties, and YT comments.

Yeah there are sites out there that will submit your site to many different social media bookmarking sites.

YouTube is a social media site so social bookmarking would be a great place to start.

If you subscribe or friend other people on youtube you get a d0follow hard link back to your channel last time I checked.

Forum sigs / xrumer is another option, as are generic shitty comments... All the usual stuff really.

Does backlinks help videos rank better ? Going to test this out but wanted to ask anyway. Ie AA blog comment blast for few k vids.

A lot of people seem to think so for both the Youtube results and the Google serps (the video results that sometimes show in the serps). I'm on the fence... However creating real backlinks is an easy way to get more views on your vids, and views (along with likes) is undoubtedly the main way to get to the top of the Youtube serps. It certainly can't hurt.
