How to get approved at Upwork

Hey guys,
just wanted to share a tutorial on how to get approved at Upwork. I tried it yesterday the second time and got approved 12 hours later

1. Use a decent photo. Just try to use a decent photo. I just used a picture on the beach and only used my face.

2. Use a clear and simple description of what you do:

✔ skills you have (e.g. you're specialized in taking windows apps and moving them to linux...)
✔ skills you have
✔ skills you have

things you dont want/have (e.g. No blank promises...)
things you dont want/have

3. put in your former employment with as many details as possible

4. And now the MOST important thing.

DONT pick any niche like "I do graphic design and I am able to work with photoshop"

Pick a field that isn´t very crowded and may be a special field.

You could choose:
I´m an expert in designing logos for firefox plugins

or

I´m an expert in designing Bluetooth boxes in cinema 4d and have 10 years of experience....
You get it.

You can change everything afterward.
The most difficult thing is to get approved.

Edit:

I read somewhere that an email address with a real domain (so not [email protected], instead [email protected]).

I´m not sure about that as I used a Gmail Adress.

What tips do you have?

I never tried Upwork before, but I think I should give this a shot. Thanks for the share.
