Hi. I'm a lurker, well not anymore.
I've been working on an ecommerce website for sometime and I'm just at the point of getting products and stuff. Thats all great and I can definitely get some by november 15th, which is about the time I want to open. I did some seo and stuff but I dont think it will yield me good short term results.
The jist of my question is how would I go about getting affiliates. My market is electronics which means my profit margins are low and I want to become a strong competitor in the near future. I am willing to just cover myself for the time being just to gain attraction. The average affiliate % seems to go around 2% for this market, but I don't know if that will gain enough interest.
Is there amount that you guys if anyone would become interested would go for? A magic number? Or even 2% for life, I know that is definitely on the low side? Saavys affiliates are just what I need for that extra push to start and I would like to get some ideas on how to do this.
For reference, my products would be priced competitively.
