How to get a soon-to-expire domain?

There's a domain that I want, which expires in a week. There's no site on it, so I'm guessing the owner doesn't want it. How do I go about catching/bidding on it?

you want to use a domain drop service. From what I recall reading.. there are basically 3 main companies that get access to the domain first once its released. As for which of these 3 companies gets it first, I believe its a shot in the dark and somewhat random. best bet would to be pay for all 3 services to try to grab the domain name

I cant help you but you should keep in mind that places like GoDaddy will auto renew the domain unless you tell them not too.
