Why is that all that someone must do ? Go outdoor for a walk (or jog) everyday, speak with random people, about random things. Join a gym and workout there atleast 3 times a week or do daily workouts at home. Visit some events, when possoble and meet new people and get acquainted with new people and life will be productive and fun. And ... along the way, you may (ideally should) meet with a wonderful person who can be an awesome life partner or a girlfriend for you.
DISCLAIMER : I mentioned "get acquainted with new people" and that does NOT mean make new friends. Infact, have a limited number of selected friends only and let them be people who are growth oriented, so that they have a contributory factor to your growth.
You need to put yourself in a position to find a girl, one isn't just going to show up at your door.

If you only work and browse internet, you are doing something wrong with your life. First fix that, a potential GF may come next.
Never put the cart in front of the donkey.
And if everything fails, you could read the ideas suggested in thread from @RoiBox and see if you have luck with them.

You are not ugly my friend. Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. I am convinced that everybody can make him- / herself at least a 6/10. How? Go to gym, wash / brush your teeth every day, smell nice, use skin care products, get a nice hair cut, get a feeling how to dress nice. Boom! you are a 6/10.

First of all, change your perceptions. Don’t be a loser, style your hair, get rid of mustache and beard, don’t dress like a clown, just casual humble fashion would be more than enough. Try to contact beautiful female classmates on social media. Try to date one of them, because they know you better than an arrogant stupid chick with instagram with thousands of followers.
