How to get a domain that is already owned??

I have a good idea for a product, or line of products rather, and have an awesome and appealing name for it. I go to buy the domain name and it says it is already taken. I did the "whois" for it and emailed the admin, or the email he gave anyway. If he does reply how can I buy it from him when he owns it already? How does that transaction work? And if he does not reply, what other way can I get it??

You can't just steal a domain that belongs to someone. If they wish to sell it to you, then perfect. They will provide you with the domain password to transfer the domain across to your account, as simple as that :)
 
If the email replies you. You can use a broker to purchase the domain. Doing a one on one deal would be risky for you and your money. Seller might not be that trustworthy, it's always good to do business the right way to avoid stories that has no ending
 
its easier to buy something closer. Also check other tlds. there are a million of them now. .club, .am, .whatever

Didn't even think of that.. If the domain is a .com, check for .info/.org/.net etc. Unless they have registered them all, then you're out of luck. But still a chance with other tld's like NutraCash suggested.
 
Strange. How is it possible to buy a domain which is already belongs to some one else. If the particular people reply for you and if they are ready to sell it for you, then have can do it. But unless that don't even think about it.
