Hey folks,
I have been working freelancing for a company that buy, sell new and used CNC machines. How could I drive traffic and generate leads from local SEO?

Thanks in advance

I just got finished with a project selling a high-ticket item (inheritance) to welders, so I have a few cents.

First off, if you go to your state's LLC / SCORP directory, you can scrape all the machine shops in your state to get some substance to work with. You can try giving them cold-calls (even paying someone off Fiverr to do it), email marketing, or cold mailing them (printed ad copies). Personally, my item was very high-priced because it was an entire shop, but I didn't have much luck cold mailing or email marketing, as the business managers and corporate people will probably look at this and disregard it. Cold-calling could work and actually seems smart given most of these people are 24-50 and male.

I also tried Google Ads and Facebook Ads. Google Ads did okay, but I found most people in these jobs aren't really browsing Google or clicking on ads for new "CNC machines" that appear on whatever websites they're visiting's. Funny enough, Facebook Ads worked super well for me. I targeted every machinist and welder in the state, and I had tons of comments and activity rolling in, with multiple buy offers within a month. Most of those people would leave a comment or share it since they are interested in that stuff and use social platforms occasionally, and then I would contact them to follow-up.

You may have a totally different experience, but I think it might be worth a shot.

find out who else services the customers you're after - reps, industry associations, retired sales people - those who have already established a relationship and see if you can work a JV deal for a connection. It's all about who trusts whom
