Hi, everyone,

Would love your advice on the topic.

How do I get to post on Reddit about a fantasy football game I'm working for, and not get those removed?

Is there any other way besides negotiating a fee with the admins?

Do you have any tips for your using Reddit to generate some traffic?

And, of course, are there any alternatives besides Reddit where this would work without paying a fee or getting banned?

Much, much appreciated!

Many gaming subreddits allow you to post about your game there. Look for indie game development subreddits and gaming subreddits in general, read their rules and they will probably allow you to post about it if you don't spam.

Thank you!

Just curious, what would be considered spam? Jus posting too often?

Promoting yourself in a place not meant for self promotion. Is the sub used to promote projects? Fine, promote it. Do you usually see people promote their games in a certain sub? Fine, promote it.

Essentially, you gotta learn how to read the room. Also, are you sure your game offers anything new or exciting? Is it even worth promoting? If you were other people, would you be impressed by this game? Cause if you're sure you have something great on your hands, then maybe you should showcase it. If it's just a shitty game, or more of the same, people may get upset at you for promoting it.

That makes sense.

I just worry that threads meant for self-promotion aren't actually read by anyone just because everyone wants to promote, not help others. Am I wrong?
