How to gather information about a website?25$ for best answer.

HI,

Does anyone know a good service that helps you to find out:

Websites daily visitors
Visitors Origin
Where are the visitors coming from.

Alexa is pretty primitive and often wrong, the service has to work with also the websites that arent mine.

I will transfer 25$ through paypal for the best answer.

Thanks for the reply, but Im looking info about the smaller sites.
And most of them came back with "Not quantified".

Does anyone have any other suggestions? It can easily be a paid website.
 
have you tried compete.com?
theres a toolbar/firefox plugin to help you do site analysis.
 
Thanks for the reply, I checked it with one of my own sites, and the info it showed me was way off.
 
There is no way that you can get accurate details unless you hack their server or analytics (or similar service) accounts or they tell you or they give you access.

u can always act like a client and ask for a analytics report and see if u can get it that way. u might get more accurate info this way. (i did this myself also:p)

That's actually the best answer to the question, assuming they will reveal the answer. $25 to navin. Act like a client or a potential buyer of the whole site/business.

I have put some of our bigger clients on quantcast.com and it takes a few months for the data to be collected. After comparing the quantcast data to the actual webstats I can tell you its not very accurate, the quantcast numbers are usually low and the demographics information looks like a wild guess at best.

I guess thats not telling you what to use, but more what not to use.

Figure out all the backlinks, check for PPC ads, get monthly search estimates for the keywords for organic and paid. Find out if there is any off line promotion done, tv, radio, print. If the domain is a common word, research the stats on that. Dont forget news alerts and affiliate links too. Or, yes, just ask them.
