How to found PPI traffic for b hat?

Reading the forum, I see discussions on how to set up ppi advertising on legal software on the official major advertising sites.
The forum is black hat, but I don't see any discussion or offers of installs of software which is sometimes detected by antivirus.
Is this not common in the en segment of the internet or is it hidden behind the onion?
