How to find what to promote?

How do you find the best niche to promote?

I'm having troubles finding a product to promote. It doesn't have to be Clickbank or CJ.

I have read that some people use Micro Niche Finder but its $100. Im not sure if it would be worth is and if there is a free way of finding new trends and products.

I'm somewhat interested in Amazon Affiliate but does anyone know of a better network from your own experiences?

I just promote trusted brands and only the products that are new and on demand, like the amazon kindle is, or was..

But doesnt it take more cash investment to promote trusted brands and new products?

Not always, on demand products get big traffic, so wherever you'll have the product placed you'll also take a share of the cake. Plus people have faith in trusted brands and are easier to convert.
