Know your meme. Also If you check out chan websites usually they have up and coming memes. Pepe, Boomer, rickroll, etc. All came from chan websites or are related. Reddit will swoop in on non popular memes and make big.

I find that Twitter is a pretty good place to keep up with those things. Of course, if you start looking for memes on Instagram, your explore page will be full of them. Just follow some meme pages on whichever social media sites you’re using, and you can use Know Your Meme if you miss the context.

To find them you can go to a search engine and use a search operator “:site” along with reddit.com followed by the meme theme you're trying to find. In the search results, you will see the most relevant content but only from reddit.com.
