How do you actually find proxies? I see people posting HTTPs and Socks4/5 and what not, how do they actually find them? Is there a program or tutorial? If so, link please.

I found a bunch and there's some good guides..straight out of the vip section hopefully i don't get banned :)

Here's the link though http://referer.us/4/LXgnn3

Very funny. What do I search? It just leads me to pages with free proxy lists. I want to know how to find my own.

There are many free proxies available. Also you can pay and get one.

You need three basic things:

  1. A program to Scrape proxies
  2. A source of proxies
  3. A program to check the proxies
Which you can get as follows:

  1. Get a program called ProxyGrab. It will scrape webpages for proxies and put them into a list for you.
  2. There are a number of ways to find a source of proxies. One way is to use Google. Look in the proxies lists on this forum, and then take one of the proxy numbers and do a Google search on it. You will get pretty general results - but there are ways to refine the search results if you know anything about Google search operators.

TIP: Look for proxies on non-English sites.
  3. I use Proxy Checker Lite to check the proxies - but there are probably better programs out there.

I either use scrapebox and also charon to check sometimes, or I just copy and paste a list from a proxy site like foxyproxies.com

or another even more simple way as I found out the other day is to look at the forum on the main page under proxies (my god what a shock) there you will find not only lists of proxies other more experienced people from this forum put on there but also a tutorial on how to scrape them which is really useful. Google is pretty good also if you put proxy server lists into google you will find lost of list for socks and http. Make sure you have something to scan them with as you will find a lot of them are a slower than me moving in the morning after a night out with a few beers and b me opening my wallet to pay for a round. I hope that helps
