I have been trying to find websites in my local country where i could get backlinks but i cannot find any even from my competitors. At this moment i do not want to get new domain for this. Could i just make some web 2.0 like blogger and create content in native language and use that? Or maybe i could find forums here where i could try to create marketing posts.

Anyone has experiance in this kind of situation or should i just forget this idea?

If you want a local ranking, then you should create local listing. Find out the local business listing site and add your business to get backlinks. Also, create a "Google my business" page.

I actually allready have google my business page but won't that be limited to just my city and not country?

Local directories still work fine and idk how you don't find links, just use ahrefs trial and check your competitor's backlinks.

Another trick I use is to check local news sites for broken links, then put the domains into ahrefs batch analyzer and buy the good domains.

If you want to rank for local in your city or state then you can create your google my business profile and do the local SEO of it. It will drive quality organic traffic to the site.

Also, search for classified submission sites and submit your site on that websites.
Search for local directories and submit your site there.
Social bookmarking is the best way to drive free traffic to the site.

Try these methods, I'm sure these tips will definitely help you.

Local search for local directories should help you.
But. I think that there are not to many of them, so be ready for that fact that you will not be able to discover so many of them.

Did you try Fiverr ? You can search guest posts or seo backlinks, depends on region

I happened to find directories or listing when i started searching with local citation services. There was one in fiver but seller was from india. Maybe he could have still got good sites but i pass that for now. I will do manually few citations for starters when i get my site translation done.

I did try to find backlinks from competitors but they only have international sites and i only wanted to find local for this one

Google My Business Information. Before starting this point, let's do a small experiment.
Local news. Think about the last time you heard about an event that happened locally.
Sponsor local business.
Business catalog.
Share local resources.

I think that is better to have such lists bought or at list to get someone hired (with experience) to create such lists for you with further submission.
Everything depends on your area. You may not get that many sites in your list as you may expecting.

I think that the best way to start is with google my business.
Also, if you have access to Ahr, try to research competitors' backlinks with the accent on Organic traffic country. Maybe you can find local competitors by using similar sites generators, etc.
