Are there any sites or databases that will contain contact information for local businesses I can scrape? I am looking for the first and last name of the business owner, and then obviously as much information past that as possible. I am specifically looking for in my area. Address of the owner personally would be great, but I could work with the business address.

I THOUGHT I used Manta in the past, but it doesn't seem to list business owner information. Unless they just don't have much.

Buy it. There are specialists for scraping these data. I had some success with emailing the owners of local businesses who use google adwords. They are already aware of the importance of the internet. Many biz owners still are not! Dont try to convince them that they should do SEO or internet marketing in general. Too much work. Rather look for those who are already "in"

Just go to the chamber of commerce's (or whatever it's called in your area) website for your city and it will list the basic info for all registered businesses.

Check out your local library. You can get free access to AtoZ Databases or ReferenceUSA where you can search and filter by a number of criteria and download as a spreadsheet.

I would just buy it from service providers in the niche. Its not too easy to get such detail from specific websites.
