From days I'm thinking about method to find existing websites that are left to their fate by their webmasters :)
Tried to search using Google's filters or showing only websites' sitemaps (to see when was the latest update).

Until now I've no success. Basically I need to find blogs that were updated last time for example 4 months ago.

I know you can help me guys :)

I think you should check who.is , it will tell you when the site was last updated :)

I'm not sure that this is the last date when the content on website was updated.
Tried with my websites and I think it's another kind of update :)

I think the updated on field shows the last date when whois records were updated. It does not mean that the site was last updated on that date.

OP you can try going through blog directories, you will find plenty that have not been updated for a while.

Thats WHOIS data update....you are welcome.

@OP
Dude, manual work, scroll through the lists of top 50, top 20 etc articles and click each to see what is going with the site (if it is updated or not).
Besides this use https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/check-my-links/ojkcdipcgfaekbeaelaapakgnjflfglf?hl=en-GB to see if there are any 404s or dead domains there. Use this to speed up process but only if you check each domain manually you will know if you are missing something or not. Check My Links can give you Green (meaning live site) color on link, but checking the site manually you can see if it is really "dead" or not.

I found some nice domains like this, contacted owners and bought them.
