How To Find Hidden Backlinks

How do you find hidden backlinks? Is there a way? There is a website that sits in the top 2 but reports 0 back-links from ahref.

Websites don't need backlinks to rank.

Oops SPQR might be correct in someway but i think this is a trend gaining ground. So far two of my SEO hide there links totally and only google crawls them. Infact i see guys saying Moz , ahref, sem rush, etc all this bots dont read those PBNs. The site sits top in google and shows 15 links, DA of 15 etc. I even once confronted my SEO but checking my GWM i had 2000+ back links. This has always been safer for my competitors over the years. There is a way to search the backlinks in yahoo, even yahoo never had the full list nowonder cant rank their.
Anyway you got to dig hard, obvious there are loop holes. currently the closest backlink checker was checkbacklinks by seoprofiler. Atleast that showed some backlinks

Check to see if the website has https as the links could being going to that and then canonicalized to http... Chances are they have a bunch of sites which have 301 redirected.... But how to find that is not easy at all... you may get some clues by searching for the website in question and looking at the serp results which are of different domains... click on them and if you redirect then bingo!

first analyze the competitor anchor cloud if u cant find then search in keyword term and site url, and then search in google one by one for each anchor cloud, ithink u can found it

Just occurred to me... In addition the backlinks could be hidden due to robots.txt preventing the major seo data providers from crawling e.g. moz, majestic, ahrefs etc... Just add /robots.txt at the end of the website url and you will see it... and can confirm if this is the case...

If robots.txt it is obscured then you can tell by checking G's link command in search (which always returns a minimal set of data) - but if that set is more than what seo providers give then you know for a fact the website is preventing certain bots from crawling their site... and consequently these backlink providers will not give an accurate picture... So your only option then is to hope that one of the smaller providers has not been prevented access....
