get people to submit a cv. to check them out send them the south pole and if they can sell ice to the people work there you have a star

There is a serious lack of good salesmen, nearly in any country of the world. Especially if you want to hire someone who can be good in telemarketing, it's an extremely difficult task... Make Skype interview with people who show interest, give them YOUR product presentation, some time, and let them to try to sell.

You will see if there is any potential... What is most important, be patient here - do not hire the first interested guy - it will be just the waste of your time and money.

Good luck!

Yes, skype interview is crucial, you get a good feeling how they will sound to your potential customers. Make also sure that you give the sales person all the tools he needs to close the deal, go through potential obsticles that the client might have during the phone talk. Sales is allot about talent but also about being properly prepared for the usual rejection phrases....

Always make sure that you yourself can sell the product. If you can't then there is no logical way you can help your sales person achieve sales. They will be unprepared and unsuccessful and be a headache for you. Once you find a good sales person.... Pay them very well. You'll never regret it.

Don't expect much. When you are not managing them in person it is very very hard to get productivity and quality. In the ad have them send iu a recording of themselves, not waste time on skype with them at first. Screen them out first, then set the phone interview, have them sell you something. Overseas callers are not equipped for this, look in US, UK, Canada. It will cost you but worth it. Overseas just is nit the place for sales campaigns
