The easiest way is to use tools like ExpiredDomains.net or Spamzilla. Both let you filter by authority metrics, backlinks, niche, etc. If you’re looking for higher quality, Spamzilla gives you more detailed data but it’s paid.

Another option is to monitor auctions on GoDaddy or Namecheap sometimes you can catch strong domains right as they drop.

You can backorder or bid on domains, then verify their backlink profile.

For me I start with expireddomain.net for discovery, then cross-check quality with Ahrefs, and confirm history via Wayback.
it takes time for sure.
